Calum Burns

Callum Burns - Training Director

MRICS (Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health - construction certificate)
CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)


Callum is a construction and supply-chain professional with proven experience in training management, commercial construction and health and safety activities. He has worked in all sectors of the industry in private practice, Local Authority, a major client organisation and also for a major contractor and has nearly 25 years experience in the industry.

Following nine years with a blue chip UK Company (BAA) as a Commercial Manager he then spent a further two years within the company as a Training Manager in commercial and supply-chain applications. Recent industry assignments include working on the Terminal 5 airport project as a Commercial Manager with Laing O’Rourke and as a Health & Safety Advisor to a London property developer.

He has also worked overseas as a training and language skills consultant and has the proven ability to assess training needs and to design, deliver and evaluate a wide range of training applications.

Calum Burns

Lee Duncombe - Training Associate

MRICS (Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)


Lee is a chartered quantity surveyor and construction professional with over 30 years experience in the industry. He worked for BAA holding a number of senior positions including Group Commercial Director and Head of Projects at Heathrow. He also worked for a major contractor for several years before joining BAA.

As Commercial Director he developed and led a team of over 150 people who were responsible for the financial management of all major construction projects. He was also involved in the development of the BAA supply chain and the introduction of supplier frameworks.

During his time in the airport construction market he gained extensive experience of working on team development, managing stakeholders and various change management programmes. As well as running training courses he currently works for a specialist contractor providing commercial and contractual support and advice and is also an NVQ assessor with the Chartered Surveyors Training Trust.
